Does trimming reduce the quality?
No. The trimmer copies the original video and audio streams without re-encoding, so the output is identical in quality to the source and the operation is fast.
Why does my cut start slightly early?
Lossless trimming can only cut at keyframes, which occur every few seconds. The tool snaps your start time to the nearest keyframe so it stays fast and lossless; the clip may begin a fraction of a second before your chosen time.
